Digital Media Planner

Gambit Strategies is looking for an experienced digital media planner to join our team!

Who you are

You know how critical it is to set up a campaign for success in the planning stage. You can negotiate with ad vendors to receive the best inventory and ensure that they deliver in full. You can balance the need to move quickly with the need to have a strong QA process and avoid errors. You have a passion for the details and can put together a media plan that balances efficiency and strong targeting with premium creative placements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop media plans based on client objectives + guidance from the account team and senior leadership 

  • Negotiate with partners to ensure the best possible inventory and rates for our buys

  • Assist in management of the buying, tag implementation, ensuring that optimizations are being made regularly

  • Add input to the reporting and analysis of the program

  • Develop and pull audience profiles and counts, understanding parameters and strategically refining the audiences as necessary to meet targeting and budget goals.

  • Communicate timing needs for campaign launch to leadership, vendors, and internally

  • Work with vendors and the buying team to ensure programs are launching on time

  • When necessary, negotiate added value from vendors

  • Track reporting to ensure that campaigns are pacing properly and make optimizations to make sure we are reaching our audiences

  • Work with the buying and reporting team to understand optimization needs and handle the implementation of any plan changes

Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a media planning role, having negotiated and planned media buys that have a mix of CTV, social media, OLV, and search inventory

  • Understand programmatic buying and how it fits into the media landscape. Be able to recommend what we run through programmatic versus a direct deal

  • Be up to date on industry trends, best practices, and new offerings

  • Understand the types of targeting available with each partner / platform so you can recommend the best possible approach with each media plan

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow a strict QA process, even when you are very busy

  • Thrive in a team environment and work well collaborating with others

  • Excel in a fast-paced environment and handle multi-tasking several projects with tight timelines at once

This position will be fully remote. Due to the nature of political work, there will be expected evening and weekend hours especially leading up to November 2024. This is a cycle position that will end on November 30, 2024, with the possibility of full time based on performance and need. The salary range for the position is between $65,000 and $75,000, commensurate with experience.
